This smudge kit includes one red abalone shell from the US west coast, a collapsible wood stand, choice of one homegrown sage smudge stick or one bundle of ethically sourced Palo Santo, and a turkey feather.

Smudges are used in a variety of ways. Some of these uses are herbal meditation, incense, cleansing of sacred spaces, or to "wash away" negative energies of a home, person, or object. 

RITUAL:
To cleanse a home or room light the tip of the bundle until you have a steady flame. Once smoldering, and taking care to keep the bundle over the shell to avoid any falling herbs, wave the smoke into all corners, across doorways and into shadow spaces using the feather. Let the stick burn out inside shell or gently tap out the embers on your heat-proof abalone shell.
